North Manhattan Eye Center is proud to welcome Dr. Israel Ojalvo, a fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist and ophthalmologist, to our growing team.

As our practice continues to expand, so does our commitment to providing patients with exceptional, personalized eye care. Adding Dr. Ojalvo allows us to strengthen our glaucoma services, increase access to advanced treatment options, and continue building a team centered on clinical excellence and compassionate care.

Dr. Ojalvo completed his Ophthalmology Residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center and is completing his Glaucoma Fellowship at the University of Michigan Kellogg Eye Center. His expertise includes glaucoma diagnosis and management, laser procedures, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, complex glaucoma surgery, and comprehensive ophthalmic care.

Throughout his training, Dr. Ojalvo has been recognized for excellence in patient care, research, and surgical innovation. He has also contributed to peer-reviewed research focused on glaucoma management, patient outcomes, and emerging treatments.

Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Ojalvo shares North Manhattan Eye Center’s commitment to serving diverse communities and helping patients protect their vision through thoughtful, individualized care.

For Dr. Gabriel Ferreira, the addition represents an important next step in the practice’s continued growth.
